Dr Faraaz de Belder, a graduate of the University of London, has built a comprehensive career spanning general practice, anaesthesia, and prehospital and retrieval medicine in both Australia and the United Kingdom. His undergraduate academic achievements include two clinical Distinctions, four Merits, and an Award for academic excellence.

With a global perspective on healthcare, Dr Faraaz has gained professional experience in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. His pursuit of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examinations led him to undertake undergraduate clinical placements at prestigious institutions such as UCLA and Columbia University in the United States, supported by a competitive bursary.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has successfully completed the Membership examination of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. In addition to these accomplishments, he holds five postgraduate Diplomas, including certifications in prehospital and retrieval medicine from both the UK and Australasia.

Currently, Dr Faraaz is a Provisional Fellow in Anaesthesia, focusing on prehospital and retrieval medicine and perioperative medicine in anaesthesia. He is committed to providing high-quality medical care, with a strong emphasis on respect and addressing patient needs. He welcomes enquiries from patients, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about his professional practice.

Outside of work, Faraaz likes to spend time with his young family and two cats. Any spare time left over is spent on fishing, amateur radio or just enjoying the beautiful environment of the Sunshine Coast!
